The same situation can be seen in dairy also. Earlier, where people believed in drinking only cow-buffalo milk, now many people have started drinking plant-based milk. Let us tell you what are these types of milk-

Types of Vegan Milk :

By drinking milk, we get many nutrients, but some people complain of not digesting milk. In such a situation, Vegan Milk milk can prove beneficial for you. Many vitamins and minerals are present in plant-based milk.

Vegan Milk

1. Almond Milk- This is a very popular Vegan Milk which can be easily bought from the market. According to the news published in WomensHealth, almond milk has less calories than cow's milk. Apart from this, along with vitamin E, many other vitamins and minerals are present in this milk. This milk can be used in both cooking and baking. However, it is thinner than cow's milk and at the same time it does not reduce the bitterness of the coffee.

2. Oat Milk- Known for its creaminess and flavour, this milk contains more calories than other Vegan Milks. It also has a high amount of protein. Apart from this, due to the high carb count, it also has more creaminess, due to which extra fibers are also available in this milk. This milk is also added to coffee. Also, this milk is used in many restaurants where coffee is available.

3. Cashew Milk- Like almond milk, cashew milk is also low in calories and low in fat. This milk is considered a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin E and poly unsaturated fat. Due to its nutty (rough) and creamy texture, it is added to a variety of smoothies. Apart from this, it is also used in cooking.

4. Rice Milk- Rice milk can be a good option for people who are allergic to nuts and soy. This naturally sweetened milk tastes different from other Vegan Milk. However, very few people use it. If you like the taste of this milk or if you are allergic to dryfruits, then you can use this milk.

5. Soy Milk- Store of Proteins and Carbohydrates Soy milk is the most popular milk used after cow's milk. However, calcium is not found naturally in it. If you are looking for some kind of alternative for cooking or baking, then soy milk is the best.

6. Coconut Milk- The saturated fat present in coconut milk makes it quite creamy and thick. People also like to drink this milk, which is used more in cooking and baking, as a refreshing drink. However, it is rarely used in coffee.

Peta India: Peta, an organization working for the rights of animals, has asked Amul to move towards the production of Vegan Milk or milk made from plants. In a letter to Amul Managing Director RS Sodhi, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said that dairy cooperative societies should take advantage of the growing vegan food and milk market. But do you know what is Vegan Milk? Let's know about it...

What did Peta India say?

"We would like to encourage Amul to take advantage of the thriving vegetarian food and milk market instead of focusing on the demand for plant-based products," PETA India said. Many more companies are also working according to the changes in the market and Amul should do the same.A news outlet says following a suit by GCMMF Delhi High Court has ordered the removal of an article titled “WHITE LIE OF AMUL AND BLACK TRUTH OF ANIMAL MILK” which is available on the website, ditchdairy.in and a Facebook page called “Boycott milk”.

The court has also restrained the uploader from publishing other identical or similar articles.

GCMMF (plaintiff) is the registered proprietor of trademark “Amul” and its variant marks.

GCMMF argued the defendant’s [Chetan Pandilya and others] website i.e. ditchdairy.in, while specifically targeting Amul products, created a bias, fear psychosis and prejudice in the minds of the public against milk and dairy products. Source from.
